Police Officer booked for clicking indecent pictures of children

A police officer has been dismissed after he admitted to making indecent images of children.

PC Lucas Beach, based at East Area Command unit of the Metropolitan Police in Romford, was let go by the organization after a one-day special case hearing where he was found to be in breach of their standards.

PC Beach, of Park Drive, Wickford, admitted to making indecent photos of children, possessing prohibited images of children and possessing extreme pornographic films at Basildon Crown Court on June 29.

On 27 July he was sentenced to a rehabilitation activity requirement, participation in an internet sex offenders programme and handed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for five years. The officer was dismissed without notice on Friday, December 1.
