Delhi Daredevils player Rishabh Pant’s clinched 97 runs, Delhi Daredevils (DD) finished Gujarat Lions’ (GL) run in 2017 Indian Premier League with a thrashing seven-wicket win on Thursday.

 

In the home ground, Rishabh Pant smashed 97 runs in just 42 balls to take their team to the higher level. His innings involved six fours and nine sixes.

 

Player Sanju Samson also joined Rishabh Pant and he got out after scoring a 31runs in 61 balls. The duo hit 143 runs for the second wickets in just 63 balls.

 

In Thursday’s match, Gujarat’s team made a target of 209 and the team lost all the wickets in 17.3 overs.

Having begun the campaign with two victories out of three games, five successive matches were lost by Delhi Daredevils. In the last game, Delhi Daredevils win over Sunrisers Hyderabad with good score.

 

The openers of Gujarat Lions, Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith got off to a poor start. Later, skipper Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik made efforts to match the score with opponent team but it could not able to clinch the game.

 

Suresh Raina achieved 43 runs off 77 balls while Karthik clinched 65. On the other hand, Aaron Finch and Ravindra Jadeja also hit precious 27 and 18 runs.
