Union minister of state for Human Resources and Development ministry (HRD) Satyapal Singh said that no boy will marry a girl if she decides to come to mandap wearing jeans.
Surprisingly, the minister said this in a function “Similarly, no saint will be revered if he gives up his traditional attire and wears jeans,” said the minister.
Singh made the controversial statement at the concluding ceremony of foundation day of Maharana Pratap Siksha Parishad (MPSP), the academic venture of Gorakhnath temple, which was attended by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.
