This man named Purushothaman of Vellore who used to have Truck transport business when found that his business is not going well decided to go on a marriage spree. He soon found out that its a successful’ business’ for him than his business because from being nothing he became richer by 4.5 crores. This money came from his marriage to 8 women. But his luck finally fizzled out.
Indira Gandhi, 45, a college lecturer from Chennai, was swept off her feet by her husband’s charms and love for days after she married Purushothaman, who is now 57. When he suggested that she sell her large house in Chennai so they could relocate to Coimbatore, Indira Gandhi was only too happy to oblige. But soon after the marriage came the shock to her as her husband left her with 1.5 Crore rupees. Thus making her cashless and husbandless. But she didn’t sit idle but rather complained police and they revealed his other 7 marriages.
The Coimbatore city police registered an FIR against Purushothaman on Saturday based on a complaint from three of his ‘wives’ who said they had become poorer by Rs 4.5 crore after Purushothaman walked into their lives.

His charm defeated all the women he married. One of his wives gave him 3 crores falling to his promises but later vanished.
Police suspect that he had got active support of a matrimonial agency in Coimbatore who gave him names of gullible victims who were divorced and ready for a second marriage. The duo, identified as Mohan and Vanaja Kumari, two were booked on various counts. Police plan to arrest them soon.
Police said Purushothaman owned a truck transport office at Gandhipuram. He lived in a house at Vellalore with his elderly mother and daughter Geethanjali, 18. His wife Usharani passed away a few years ago.
He chose his victims carefully and then went on a marriage spree and became rich through these marriages awhile leaving his wives poor.He got hitched up with Sabitha, Usharani, Vimala, a school teacher, Indira Gandhi, Shanthini from Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore city, Chitra from Erode, Kumudavalli from Pappanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore and Suseela from Namakkal over eight years.
Police have said that he has 18 cases against him and the investigation is going on.
