Separatist leaders charged with waging war against India

A court in New Delhi has accepted the framing of terror charges against Pakistan based terrorist leaders like Hafeez Saeed who is considered as the mastermind behind Pathankot attack and, Syed Salahuddin and seven Kashmiri separatist leaders, accused of sponsoring and stoking terror in Jammu and Kashmir.

The court headed by judge Tarun Sahrawat has asked the NIA to give the accused the copies of the charge sheet. Court has decided a hearing on March 8.

It was on January 18 that National investigation agency has filed a case against many jailed separatist leaders to conspire with Saeed and Salahudheen for conspiring to wage war against India.

The NIA also charged businessman Zahoor Ahmad Watali and two alleged stone pelters — Kamran and Javed Ahmed Bhat.

The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is tenser now than it had been in a long time as clashes between stone pelters and Army has become a common thing. NIA strongly suspects that the stone pelters have been amply supported by terrorist outfits and funding by those who want to secede Jammu and Kashmir from India.
