Riteish and Genelia, quite the adored Bollywood couple, have an equally adorable love story. The two were signed for their début film “Tujhe Meri Kasam”. Being a politician’s son, Genelia thought of Riteish as a spoilt brat and thought of playing it smart.
It was 2002 when they first met. This was at an airport in Hyderabad. Genelia gave Riteish a cold reaction, leaving him confused.
However, on the sets and in their subsequent meetings, much to Genelia’s surprise, Riteish came across as extremely down-to-earth, polite and respectful.
The two soon became good friends and after the shoot was over, Riteish returned to Mumbai. Soon, he was missing Genelia and they began talking over the phone.
The two are so much in love that no one close can tell who proposed whom! It was slow but their journey from being friends to best friends and lovers has been endearing. After dating each other for nine long years, Riteish and Genelia tied the knot on February 3, 2012.
“We learned about life, love and work together. It was gradual. It wasn’t overnight. We were friends and the bond just grew and became stronger. I just felt that she was the one. I’m too much in love with her. That is it,” said Riteish
The couple has two sons – Riaan and Rahyl.
