Bringing to the forefront Modi government’s glorious achievement of the electrification of 16850 villages, Amit Shah on Tuesday addressed a press conference which witnessed the party chief’s explanation of the central government’s Commonwealth schemes. Amit Shah said that NDA Govt. had achieved its goal of electrification of villages in the country. He pointed that due to the efforts of the Modi government, every house in 16,850 villages now has an electricity and gas connection. He added that the NDA government had also completed the task of providing an insurance policy to every member of the households in these villages.

Under the Ujala Scheme, the government had also undertaken the distribution of LED bulbs in these villages, he said. He termed ‘unique’experiment, NDA Govt’s scheme of ‘Gram Swaraj Yojana’ which had been undertaken from April 14 to may 15. A confident Shah said,”. “This was the first time after Independence that a government took the initiative to solve the problems of 16,850 villages”.
