In a major breakthrough in Abhimanyu Murder case, the Police arrested 2 SDPI activists who helped the convicts. Nawaz, a native of Mattancherry and Jefri were the SDPI activists who had been arrested by the police in relation with the murder case.

The Police suspect Nawaz’s proximity to the Maharajas College during the murder but no proof has been got so far which could affirm his involvement in the assault gang. At the same time, Nawaz’s involvement with the killer gang has been proved undoubtedly. Nawaz is SDPI Mattancherry Branch Secretary and a worker of the Fish Landing Center there.
