LG launches ‘G7+ ThinQ’ with AI cameras in India : Price and Specs

LG on Monday launched its latest premium budget flagship smartphone– LG G7+ ThinQ in India.

The device is the successor to LG G6 which the launched last year and it will be available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 39,990 starting August 10, 2018.

Specifications

The new LG G7+ ThinQ features a 6.1-inch Quad HD Full Vision Super Bright display which can provide a brightness of up to 1,000 nits. The phone is protected by IP68 dust and water resistant technology and it also meets the MLT-STD 810 military grade standard. It features tiny bezels on the bottom of the screen and has a notch on the top. The phone comes with a fingerprint scanning system which is placed below the dual-camera setup at the back.

LG G7+ ThinQ is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD.

The phones comes with a dedicated button for Artificial Intelligence (AI) which triggers tools such as Google Assistant and Google Lens. LG says that the phone features Super Far Field Voice Recognition technology which enables its microphones to recognise voice commands from a distance of up to five meters.

As far as the camera is concerned, LG G7+ ThinQ sports a dual-rear camera setup at the back with a 16MP standard angle and a 16MP super wide angle camera, both of which are powered by AI. The phone sports an 8MP wide angle camera in the front. The AI camera offers 19 shooting modes which enables the users to enhance their photos further.

In terms of the audio, LG G7+ ThinQ equipped with DTS:X and Hi-Fi Quad DAC which provides a rich audio experience. The phone sports Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, NFC and USB Type-C for connectivity. In terms of software, it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. It also features support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 Technology.
