Bollywood actor Imran Khan received the congratulations on being the Pakistan Prime Minister instead of the Pakistan cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.
It just a case of mistaken identity.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s nephew shared a screenshot of an email he’d received, in which the sender had pledged his allegiance and addressed him, “Dear Prime Minister.”
The Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na actor is often mistaken for the new PM, who used to be one of Pakistan’s most popular cricketers.

This is not the first time such a mistake has taken place. A reporter had set up an interview with him mistaking him for the politician.
Here’s an excerpt from the interview:
“Reporter: For a fast bowler, you have quite a small build and frame. How did you manage to be successful in your sporting career despite being so puny?
Imran: You yanks have a very weird sense of humor. Er… my cute looks and puny frame help bowl maidens over, you see. Hopefully, I will continue to maintain a good strike rate going forward also.”
In addition to being mistaken for the cricketer-turned-politician, Imran has also been mistaken for Irrfan Khan.
The actor who has been off-screen since his last flop film Katti Batti (2015), maybe the ‘mistaken identity’ will put the spotlight on him.
