Google Pixel 3 XL Leaked? Here is What We Know

We’re still presumably months away from the official Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL announcement, but that isn’t stopping the leakers. The latest images of Google’s next flagship appear to show finalized production hardware and what seems to be a pair of wired USB-C Pixel Buds.

Now, it’s completely possible that the phone model and packaging in these photos are intended for Google staff, and the earbuds won’t make their way to the final retail product. It’s also possible these are only available for models distributed in advance, as this seems to be a DVT (design verification test) phone.

Also in the leaks are images of what looks like a bundled pair of wired USB-C headphones that Google might include in the box with the Pixel 3 line. Back when the Pixel 2 first launched, there was considerable evidence that Google was working on a wired version of its Pixel Bud headphones to ship with the phone. The addition would be noteworthy; finding USB-C headphones isn’t exactly easy, as competing audio standards have made it difficult for manufacturers to support devices with USB-C ports in lieu of 3.5mm headphone jacks.

The Device Information screen confirms that it will be running Android 9 Pie with an 8-core Qualcomm processor (Snapdragon 845), 4GB of RAM, and a screen resolution of 1440×2960. That doesn’t leave much left to the imagination in terms of the Pixel 3 XL. We haven’t seen the smaller Pixel 3 nearly as much, but you can expect the same packaging. The notch is clearly going to be a divisive feature. What are your thoughts on it after seeing these photos?
