Since Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine in February of last year, which led to a wave of Western sanctions against Moscow, Iran has gained more significance as a partner for Russia. Tehran has acknowledged sending military drones to Russia, despite maintaining that they arrived prior to the start of the conflict.
The US claimed last week that Iran may be helping Russia commit war crimes in Ukraine by giving them drones.
