India put forward a mammoth total of 392 sparing 4 wickets in the second ODI in the Srilankan Tour of India here in Madya Pradesh Cricket Stadium.
The Indian innings is powered by a spectacular Double Ton by Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma 208 runs from 153 balls. The skipper registered his third double century first of the kind and the 7th in the ODI history.
Absolutely brilliant from Rohit, who unleashed his ‘Hitman’ mode today to become the only batsman with three ODI double-tons! Also happens to be his second after the historic 264.
At no stage did it seem like India would score 350 set aside 392. But such was the transformation of Rohit after his hundred. Sri Lanka has completely blown away. India has bounced back tremendously well after the Dharamsala debacle.
Keralite batsman Shreyas Aiyar Scored an impressive 88 runs off 70 balls and Shikhar Dhawan scored half century 68 (67). N Pradeep has become the most expensive bowler in a match for Sri Lanka in ODIs. He has given 106 runs in 10 overs.
A score of 392/4 is pretty much a winning one, and the visitors will need a Gibbs-like innings to pull off a miracle later this evening.
