An enthralling T20I match going on between Australia and New Zealand

As the T20I Tri Series featuring New Zealand, Australia and England is nearing its end, the top two teams are ready to fight it out to confirm the place in the final.

While Australia have almost confirmed their spot, New Zealand hopes to be the second team to make it to the final by defeating the former.

Earlier in the day New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat. Opener Martin Guptill scored a record-breaking century from just 49 balls thus becoming the fastest New Zealand batsmen to score a T20I hundred. Guptill was eventually dismissed for 104 runs from just 54 balls. He was backed by another opener Collin Munro who scored 76 off 33 balls. New Zealand 243 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Seamers Kane Richardson and Andrew Tye got two wickets each.

Chasing a huge target of 244 the Aussies got a solid start thanks to the openers David Warner and Arcy Short. Warner was dismissed on 59 by spinner Ish Sodhi while Short is batting at 637. As per latest updates, Australia are 158 for 2 with Short and Maxwell at the crease. They still need 82 runs from 8 overs.
