Sonam Kapoor is going to tie the sacred knot with her boyfriend Anand Ahuja on 8th May 2018 and we are all excited to know about the couple-to-be.
Sonam Kapoor has always been a private person, especially when it came to discussing her personal life out in the open. While she would use public platforms to express her opinions about something, she refrained from sharing anything about her personal life, whatsoever. Even when her marriage rumours started doing the rounds last year, the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress remained tight-lipped.
It was only recently that Kapoors and Ahujas released an official statement about Sonam Kapoor and her long-time beau Anand Ahuja’s wedding. The statement read, “From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
While Sonam has never spoken about Anand and how their love story took off, as per latest media reports, Pernia Qureshi, who is a leading style icon and fashion entrepreneur introduced Sonam to Anand in 2014.
The source added,”Pernia was styling Sonam then and was also close friends with Anand Ahuja. Anand proposed to Sonam Kapoor within a month of being introduced to her, as per reports. They have been together ever since.” Anand and Sonam were seen holding hands at Sonam’s cousin Akshay Marwah’s Roka ceremony. Anand also joined Sonam Kapoor’s family for a trip on the latter’s mother’s birthday in London.
