During a storm that struck the northern and western areas of France, lightning was seen hitting the topmost part of the Eiffel Tower.
The video of the national landmark being struck by lightning has gone viral on twitter.

According to Méteo France May 2018 has been the month with the most lightning strikes that have made contact with the earth since the year 2000.
