Why Veere Di Wedding replaced Bhavesh Joshi Superhero shows at cinema halls?

Veere Di Wedding featuring a diva gang of Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania replaced Bhavesh Joshi featuring Harshavardhan Kapoor as a protagonist in many theatres, owing to the latter movie’s poor performance at the box office on June 1.

Veere Di Wedding has minted Rs.48.03 crore so far and Bhavesh Joshi, only Rs.1.5crore, making a performance at the ground level.Mid Day reported that many cinema owners had canceled the shows of Harshavardhan’s film and allocated them to his sisters Sonam-Rhea’s film. An official from a leading multiplex said that the morning shows of Bhavesh Joshi had been canceled as they hardly had any audience opting for it and that they had added more shows of Veere Di Wedding instead.

With a 30 to 40% drops in the screenings across the country, Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi was discarded allowing chances to others by the Cinema owners. But critically, this movie has got many acclaims, especially for the acting by Harshvardhan.
