Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 tablet Specs Leaked. Can It Upset Ipad?

We might see the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 as soon as August and at this point we have a very good idea of what to expect, as a more or less complete specs list has just leaked.

Shared by SamMobile, the specs apparently include a 10.5-inch 1600 x 2560 Super AMOLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera and a 7,300mAh battery.

Android 8.1 Oreo, of course, is running the show and it’ll be a while until this one gets Android P. AKG sound is also included, as is DeX support. The latter will let you extend your Android experience to a bigger screen, just like Samsung’s 2017 and 2018 flagship.

Rumors have been suggesting iris scanner and face recognition features, and finally, SamMobile reported that the Galaxy Tab S4 would indeed sport them both. The information was leaked from a firmware video that shows how both features work. The animation that explains how the iris scanner and face recognition act when powering the device is the same as in the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. Both features work simultaneously, and when the sensor recognizes either the face or the irides, it unlocks. This allows the scanners to operate both in light and dark environments.

Pricing details and launch dates were not leaked, but we do expect the Galaxy Tab S4 to be unveiled at IFA 2014 in September.
