New Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS launched, See Price & Specifications

India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) on Friday announced the launch of new Ninja 300 with a price tag of Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model comes with front and rear Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and costs around Rs 62,000 less than its outgoing version. The price cut is a result of the addition of more locally produced parts to the bike.

The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS is available in two new colour options – Lime Green/Ebony and Candy Plasma Blue.

“We just started localizing for Ninja 300 ABS as a part of our expansion plan. Initiatives like ‘Make In India’ have also been encouraging factors in increasing localization,” Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of IKM, said. “The localization gives us a benefit to set a very competitive price, because of which we can offer many new customers an opportunity to enjoy our product and also start experiencing the fun of supersport riding.

There is no other mechanical change in the motorcycle and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 continues to get 39PS of power and 27Nm of torque from the same 296cc, eight-valve, parallel-twin-cylinder engine. the liquid-cooled motor comes mated to a six-speed
gearbox via assist & slipper clutch for slick shiftings and a lighter clutch lever pull.

Featuring a full-body front fairing and dual headlamp setup, the Ninja 300 draws its design inspiration from the bigger Ninja ZX10R while its wheels look inspired by the ZX-14R. The new high-tensile steel frame of the motorcycle further claims to offer
better rigidity and stability.

In India, the direct rival of the Ninja 300 ABS is the Yamaha YZF-R3 ABS (Rs 3.48 lakh) while it also competes with the likes of the KTM RC 390 and the Benelli 302R.

Kawasaki has also announced that the customers doing pre-booking for the new Ninja 300 will be given a ‘three-year of unlimited mileage warranty’ offer which will be discontinued without any prior intimation in order to give a worthy benefit to early birds.
