Pulwama Attack :’We will not forget, we will not forgive’ , says CRPF

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday condemned the Pulwama terror attack which claimed the life of at least 40 paramilitary troopers.

“We salute our martyrs of Pulwama attack and stand with the families of our martyr brothers. This heinous attack will be avenged,” said CRPF in a post on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned Thursday’s terror attack which has also left several injured. Modi made it clear that the dastardly attack on Indian security forces will not be forgiven.

“The forces behind this act of terrorism and those responsible for it will definitely be punished,” he said.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi said the entire Opposition and country is with the government and security forces in their actions to avenge the worst terror attack in three decades of Kashmir’s insurgency.

A host of other domestic and international leaders have also condemned the terror attack which has left the Valley in turmoil.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that a decision has been taken to withdraw the “Most Favoured Nation” status to Pakistan-a symbolic move to isolate Pakistan on the international front.

On Thursday at around 3:30 pm, a CRPF convoy comprising 78 buses were carrying 2,500 personnel from Jammu to Srinagar when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden SUV into one of the buses. Each bus was carrying at least 35-40 personnel.

Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack and have released a video of the suicide bomber, Adil Ahmed Dar.
