The state government announced a statewide lockdown. Punjab government has imposed lockdown in the state from 7 PM to 5 AM on all days. The lockdown was imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus.
1,746 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state on Thursday. Thus the total cases in the state has rised to 47,836. The death toll has reached at to 1,256.
