Sen Kumar signs back: Behra to vigilance

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan signed the order to re-appoint Sen Kumar as Police Chief on friday after the meeting of CPM’s state secretariat.

The state secretariat had forced CM to issue the order on Friday itself. The order will be handed over to Sen Kumar today. The former Police Chief Loknath Behera will take charge as the Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The return of Sen Kumar was followed by the transfer of 100 DYSP’s. The court had asked the government to pay R.s 25,000 as fine for the court expenditure.

After trashing the government’s plea seeking clarity of the verdict, the court said they know what they are doing and there is no need for clarity in the issue of order.

A bench of Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta said that the officer was treated so unfairly by the government. Sen Kumar is about to retire on June 30th.
