TRAI to launch Mycall app for subscribers

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India will introduce an app to measure call quality after each call , it takes more measures to improve call drop rate and enhance quality of services for consumer experience.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chairman RS Sharma said that the My Call App will work on a crowd sourcing platform where users will be able to choose the number of calls they want to rate, while the rating will be between one-star to five-star, the latter being very good quality.

?He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of Trai’s bi-decadal seminar on broadcasting.?

“We’ll launch the MyCall app by the month end, we’re leveraging crowd sourcing as we want the consumers to assess the quality of the call. India has ?1.2 billion mobile phone users and even if a small part of them can provide us feedback, it will be good data,” he added. Trai’s MySpeed app, which collects data speeds from consumers across the country, also works on the same principles.
