Tension ensued at the secretariat after the Yuva Morcha workers raised slogans against Youth Congress activists. Further, they hurled stones and bottles at each other. Though the leaders intervened and attempted to broker peace, tension flared up again. The police are attempting to pacify both the groups.
Police have stepped up vigil as the rallies taken out by Youth Congress and Yuva Morcha is heading to the protest venue. Police had used water cannons against the group. Traffic has been disturbed in the area
