Twitter reveals the top tweets and trends for 2017 in the UAE
The UAE Twitter universe was lit up in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with messages that climbed to the top of the charts.
It proves Sheikh Mohammed is not just a great leader, he’s also a great tweeter .
Twitter Mena revealed the top tweets and trends for 2017 in the UAE, with Sheikh Mohammed (@HHShkMohd) sending out the two most-retweeted messages: one congratulating Saudi Arabia and Egypt for qualifying for the 2018 Fifa World Cup, and the other on the occasion of the birthday of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Mohammed also leveraged the power of the social media service as he bannered the top trends in the UAE. His announcements of two new ministries – the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and the Ministry of Food Security – and the UAE’s commitment to joining the global effort to send humans to Mars were widely followed.
