A CCTV footage has come to light showing a mystery man leading the eight-year-old girl, whose rape and murder have triggered violent protests in Pakistan. The dead body of the victim (who has been named by every media house that covered the story) Zainab Ansari was found dumped atop a trash heap after being raped multiple times in Pakistan’s Punjab province, triggering riots.
Two people were killed and an equal number injured as enraged protesters stormed the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kasur with sticks and stones in the wake of the horrific incident on Wednesday.

Pakistani daily The Dawn reports that the unfortunate child had gone to a religious tuition center near her house and her parents had been in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah, due to which she had been living with a maternal aunt.
Her family received footage showing her with a stranger near Peerowala Road, a video which has since gone viral on social media.
On Tuesday, a police constable deputed to trace the girl recovered her body from a rubbish pile. Police said the girl seemed to have been killed four or five days ago. Post-mortem reports suggest torture, sodomy and police say she may have been held captive for 2 to 4 days before being killed. Police have brought out a sketch of the possible suspect.
