AAP launches complaint against Madhya Pradesh CM

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday went one step ahead and handed a complaint to police against  Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chauhan after Chouhan’s slapping act and sought registration of a criminal case against him. AAP state organizational secretary Pankaj Singh led a delegation of party workers to MP Nagar police station and registered a complaint.

The complaint was as follows: “On Jan 14, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan flouted law by slapping his own bodyguard during an election rally in Sardarpur town of Dhar district.”Tagging the CD of the said incident and clippings of newspaper reports, the AAP volunteers sought registration of case under sections 332 and 353 of IPC against Chouhan for “taking law in his own hands and flouting it”.

“The police officer on duty simply took the complaint but did not say anything,” AAP senior functionary Dushyant Dangi said.“The Chief Minister has slapped a policeman. Why a case of obstructing a Public Servant is not being registered against the leader of a party which keeps harping on morality?” quizzed Congress spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi in a tweet.

CM Shivraj had lost temper during a public rally in Dhar on Jan 14 when he got infuriated on something and pushed his own bodyguard aside after slapping him. The act was recorded by someone on the mobile phone.CM’s office and his publicity managers are yet to react to the January 14 incident.
