Kerala government to expect an additional revenue of at least Rs 3,000 crore

Kerala government is expecting a revenue of Rs 3,000 crore per annum via goods and sale tax said minister Thomas Issac during the question Hours in assembly. “Our revenue will increase considerably (the increase) is expected to touch Rs 3,000 crore (per annum) once the Goods and Services Tax is implemented,” he said

In 2016-17 state was able to register a growth of 8.98 percent when compared to the precious hours. However demonetization has slow downed the economic condition, this had affected the tax revenue.

He said that as the part to solve the currency shortage in treasuries, the state government had deposited Rs 74.12 crore from beverages corporation, Rs 339.66 crore from KSEB and Rs 102.80 crore from lottery department.
