Rahul Gandhi to start visiting Temples and Dargahs in poll-bound Karnataka

Rahul Gandhi will be on a three-day visit to the poll-bound Karnataka during which will start on Saturday. Earlier he was on a 10-day visit to the state.

In this second leg of his tour, he is expected to visit Belagavi, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, and Dharwad districts in the state’s northwest. In this second leg of ‘Jana Ashirwada Yatra’, he will seek the people’s support for Congress for a consecutive second term.

”Congress president is expected to address public meetings, an only women rally, hold interaction with various groups and also flag off a marathon during the visit,” party’s state unit president G. Parameshwara said.

Durin the visit he is expected to visit Temples and Dargahs too. The election is expected to take place in late April or early May.

Besides Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, party’s state unit working president Dinesh Gundu Rao, MPs, and MLAs will accompany him.

Rahul Gandhi will also hold another programme “Sthree Shakti Samavesh” at a public meeting ground in Tikota of Bijapur district. He is also expected to hold a number of public meetings with various groups in the state.
