Jammu Kashmir’s recent 14th grenade attack injures 12

The Valley has once again witnessed attacks on the locals. This is the 14th grenade attack that has taken place in the last 4 days.

12 people including three policemen were wounded in a grenade attack in Jammu Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.

Terrorists hurled an explosive at a police party stationed in Batapora Chowk in Shopian town. The grenade missed its target and exploded on the roadside, injuring nine civilians and three cops, including a child and a woman.

“The injured have been shifted to hospital. The area has been cordoned off for searches,” said a police officer.

Since last week a series of grenade attacks have taken place in the Valley. On Saturday, three grenades were hurled in Srinagar while two in Tral and Anantnag in South Kashmir. A grenade was also lobbed in Tral on Sunday.
