Muslims Gets Ready To Celebrate Bakri Eid

Bakri Eid/ Eid al-Adha also called the “Festival of Sacrifice”, is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two.

Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on August 23, announced Jama Masjid in New Delhi on Sunday.

Eid al-Adha or the festival of sacrifice is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide with special prayers, greetings, and gifts.

On the occasion, Muslims sacrifice a sheep or goat and share the meat with their family, neighbors and the poor.

The special occasion is celebrated in different countries on varying dates.
