‘Woof-Yoga’; Canine warriors perform ‘yoga poses’ with Army jawans on International Yoga Day

In Kashmir’s Poonch area, Indian Army soldiers and canine warriors celebrated the International Day of Yoga. The 8th International Day of Yoga will take place on July 21, 2022. Army soldiers and their four-legged canine companions did yoga asanas in Kashmir’s Poonch area to honor the 8th International Day of Yoga.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the main event of the International Day of Yoga, which took place against the background of Karnataka’s Mysuru Palace. ‘ Millions of people who have inner peace will build a worldwide peace atmosphere. That is how Yoga can link individuals and countries, and how Yoga can become a problem solver for all of us,’ added Prime Minister Modi. Jawans all around the country are celebrating the International Day of Yoga.

On the 8th International Yoga Day, numerous Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) officers did Yoga asanas at a height of 17,000 feet, against the breathtaking Himalayas. The Central Ski Team of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) also took part in the International Day of Yoga celebrations at Rohtang Pass, which is located at an elevation of 14,000 feet in the snow.

The ITBP has promoted Yoga in many high-altitude Himalayan regions along the India-China border throughout the years, including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. On the occasion of the 8th International Yoga Day, ITBP jawans from Ladakh in the north to Sikkim in the east performed Yoga asanas.
