Indian Railways records freight loading of 887.25 metric tonnes in October

New Delhi: Indian Railways has achieved freight loading of 887.25  metric tonnes in April- October  this year. This is 31.61 metric tonnes more than the corresponding period last year. The national transporter earned more than Rs 95,929.30 crore rupees from freight loading from April to October this year.

Indian Railways achieved an originating freight loading of 129.03 MT in October. It was at  118.95 MT in October last year. This witnessed  improvement of approximately 8.47% .Freight revenue of Rs 14,231.05 crore was earned in October this year as against Rs 13,353.81 crore last year. This reported  an improvement of about 6.57%.
