Stock Market: Equity indices end marginally lower

Mumbai:  Indian equity indices snapped their three-day winning run on Tuesday, November 7. The benchmark indices ended on a flat note in the volatile session. As per market experts, profit booking in select heavyweights including Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank amid weak global cues weighed upon the indices.

BSE Sensex settled at 64,942.40, down 16.29 points or 0.03%. NSE Nifty ended at 19,406.70, 5.10 points or 0.03%.  About 1878 shares advanced, 1616 shares declined, and 146 shares remained unchanged. Top gainers were Sun Pharma, BPCL, NTPC, Axis Bank and Dr Reddy’s Labs. Top losers were Hero MotoCorp, Coal India, Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel and Divis Labs.

Among sectors, healthcare and oil & gas up 1% each, while realty down 1%. BSE Midcap index up 0.5% and Smallcap index up 0.4%.
