Lufthansa introduces direct flight to Europe from this Indian city: Details

Munich: Flag carrier of Germany, Lufthansa Group has launched a direct flight service to India. The airline will operate a direct flight from Bengaluru to Munich, Germany. The air carrier will deploy its Airbus A350-900 aircraft for the service.

Bengaluru was chosen as the first destination on the Lufthansa Group network post-Covid. Bengaluru is the third Indian city with a direct connection for travelers via Lufthansa’s 5-star Munich hub. The other two cities are Delhi and Mumbai. Bengaluru has now become the fifth Indian city to offer direct connectivity with Munich.

The airline informed that it  will increase the frequency of flights between India and Europe  to 64 flights a week by January 24, 2024.

‘This Bengaluru-Munich service represents Lufthansa’s strong commitment to the Indian market as Lufthansa Group’s capacity to India now exceeds pre-COVID levels.We have been invested in India for more than 90 years and when looking for our first new APAC destination since the pandemic, Bengaluru was a natural fit,’ said Lufthansa Group Senior Director – South Asia, George Ettiyil.
