IMD predicts rainfall in these states: Details

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a formation of a low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 14. The national weather agency said that this low pressure area will move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Central and adjoining South Bay of Bengal around November 16.

IMD predicted light or moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over  Lakshadweep, Kerala and Mahe. Andaman and Nicobar Islands will experience light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall over the next seven days.

IMD also forecasted that the sky will remain clear with a shallow fog in the morning in New Delhi. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 27 and 14 degrees Celsius respectively. IMD also updated that over Sikkim and all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal will witness dry weather condition. Srinagar is expected to experience a minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees Celsisus while cities like Gulmarg, Jammu, Pahalgam, Banihal, Katra and Kupwara will witness -3.9, 13, 5, 8.2, 11.8 and 12.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
