Prime Minister Narendra Modi to flag off new Vande Bharat Express today: Details

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today flag off a new Vande Bharat Express train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the second Vande Bharat Express train running between Varanasi and New Delhi in Varanasi at 2:15 PM.  This new Vande Bharat Express will start from December 20, 2023.

Departing from Varanasi at 6:00 AM, the train will reach Prayagraj at 07:34 AM, Kanpur Central at 09:30 AM and finally, New Delhi at 2:05 PM. The return journey will see the train departing from New Delhi at 3:00 PM, reaching Kanpur Central at 7:12 PM, Prayagraj at 9:15 PM and concluding its journey in Varanasi at 11:05 PM.

The national transporter is also planning to launch a new Vande Bharat Express connecting  Amritsar and Katra to New Delhi.Also the North Central Railways (NCR) zone  will operate the saffron-coloured Vande Bharat Express with 11 coaches connecting  Prayagraj with Agra. The service will begin from  January 2024.The new Vande Bharat Express train will take four and a half hours to cover 447 km.

The new Vande Bharat Express train will have stoppages at Tundla, Etawah and Kanpur railway station. The ticket fare of the train has not been announced yet.
