Firefox browser to get Virtual Reality

The latest version of Firefox 55 is all set to join the league of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge by incorporating virtual reality (VR) support for its browser.

Firefox was revamped in June with a speed boost. The latest version of the version will be launched on August 8.

The WebVR on Firefox will be available for all Windows users with HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift headset.

The WebVR also allows browsers to run VR experiences. The feature is already available on Firefox Nightly, the pre-release version of Mozilla’s browser.

Firefox is still behind its contemporaries, Google Chrome that added the Web-based VR feature back in February. Chrome’s VR is currently the most used VR service online. Chrome supports VR content for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Google’s own Cardboard and Daydream.
