India’s 70th year of Independence : Mercedes-Benz launches GLC ‘Celebration Edition’ in India

Celebrating India’s 70th year of Independence, Mercedes-Benz India has launched the ‘Celebration Edition’ on its GLC 220D and GLC 300 SUVs. Mercedes-Benz GLC 220 d ‘Celebration Edition’ is priced at Rs.50.86 lakh and Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 ‘Celebration Edition’ is priced at Rs. 51.25 lakh (ex-showroom, All India).

The limited edition car gets a new paint scheme finished in ‘Designo hyacinth red’, LED Logo projector fitted with the exit lamps in side doors, sports pedal and chrome strip at the front and at the rear. In addition, the SUV now features a Garmin Map Pilot SD card system for the navigation system to the Audio 20 CD telematics system. Mercedes-Benz India first launched its GLC in India in June 2016.

Mercedes-Benz GLC 220d powered by a 2143cc four cylinder engine that produces 170 hp of power and 400Nm of torque. The GLC 300 is powered by 1,991cc turbocharged four cylinder motor that sheds out a power of 245 hp and 370 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission with power sent to all four wheels via the 4Matic all wheel drive system. It gets safety feature such as parking assist, 7 airbags, TPMS and hill descent control as standard. The ‘Celebration Edition’ on the GLC launched on Monday get no mechanical changes.
