IPL 2018: Devils lead by Shreyas to take on Dhoni’s Super Kings

After 2 overs,Chennai Super Kings 7/0 ( Shane Watson 5 , Faf du Plessis 2)

Delhi Daredevils captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to field against Chennai Super Kings in Pune. CSK have made four changes to the side with Faf du Plessis, Karn Sharma, Lungi Ngidi and KM Asif coming in. South Africa’s Ngidi and Asif with limited experience for Kerala make their IPL debut.

Delhi Daredevils have chosen not to make any changes. CSK once again have a chance to go top of the table after suffering a blip in the previous game vs Mumbai Indians at home. Chennai have five wins from seven games and are second in the points table while Delhi are bottom placed after just two wins in seven games. CSK are without Deepak Chahar who has been ruled out for two weeks at least.

The Delhi Daredevils were the first team to hit the reset button midway through the season. After Gautam Gambhir decided to step down and Shreyas Iyer was given the commands of the team, the results showed instantly.

In their previous match – Shreyas’ first as captain – DD posted the highest total of the season and then applied the squeeze on the visiting Kolkata Knight Riders to win by 55 runs.
