Woman shot dead in Delhi; law and order at its worst in capital city

In a span of three days national capital Delhi witnessed five murders in different parts. Most recently, a woman shot dead in Shalimar Bagh on Tuesday. The victim Priya Mehra was traveling with her husband Pankaj Mehra along with their two-year-old son. Several incidents of shooting are reporting from various parts of Delhi like Shalimar Bagh, Krishna Nagar, and New Usmanpur.

The car-borne assailants overtook the car in which the family traveled and attempted to fire at Pankaj, unfortunately, Priya suffered from severe bullet injuries succumbed to death. Both the infant and Pankaj escaped without injuries. Priya’s family allege negligence against the government authorities and police.

In another similar incident, two men were shot dead in separate incidents by unidentified bike-borne men in north Delhi’s New Usmanpur and Krishna Nagar area of Shahdara on Monday. A 22-year-old man also shot dead in another incident near Brahmpuri on Sunday. The law and order in the city are not working properly in curbing out attacks, the increasing number of incidents had made it clear.
