Indian Railways changes timetable of this Vande Bharat Express: New schedule

New Delhi: The Indian Railways has changed the schedule of the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express. This semi-high-speed train is maintained and operated by the Northern Railway (NR) zone.

‘It is notified for the information of the general public that due to operational reasons, railways have decided to change in days of run of train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express,’ Deepak Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Northern Railway said in a statement.

The train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will run 6 days in a week in both the directions except Wednesday.  This new timetable will be effective from March 21, 2024. Currently, the train runs on all days of the week except Tuesday.

The  New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express covers a distance of 655 km in 08:00 hrs.  This is the fastest train on the route followed by Jammu Rajdhani Express and Jammu Tawi Duronto Express. Both the trains cover the same distance in 08:20 hrs and 08:40 hrs respectively.

This  Vande Bharat Express  train has  16 Coaches consisting of Executive Class and Chair Car coaches. During its journey between the two cities, this train stops at 3 railway stations – Ambala Cant Junction, Ludhiana Junction, and Jammu Tawi station.
