Here’s how actor Rahman looks as an Ex-naval officer : See Pics

After having an occupation improvement with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, performer Rahman will be perceived in the thriller action Arapaima, in which he will be perceived as an ex-naval officer. The movie, which takes place mostly during one night-time, and is set in city, is ordered by Prash, a former naval officer, who has helped Malayalam administrators TK Rajeev Kumar (who was initially ordering Kamal Haasan’s Sabash Naidu) and leading Ravi.

“The film revolves around a naval officer, who, after getting out of service due to an unfortunate incident, plans a surgical attack within the civil system. To do this, he uses the same operational style as the one he used when he was in service. How does this officer take control over the entire city overnight is what the plot is all about,” says the director, who adds, “I wanted to stress upon the fact that a soldier doesn’t quit and will always fight for the cause of his country.”

He says that he cast Rahman because he needed a recognisable face who can appear in a new look. “He is a very good actor and has the physique that can make one immediately take him to be a naval officer,” explains the director. He admits that the actor initially had reservations about cropping his hair extremely close as he is also doing a few more films.

Talking about the title, he says, “Arapaima is said to be the largest fresh water fish and is found in the Amazon river. The nature of the fish is such it will be very friendly towards you if you treat it well, but if you try to corner it and capture it, it will get violent and will attack you. The protagonist in my film has a similar character. Also, usually, countries do not carry out an operation under the same name as an operation carried out by another country, but three to four countries have so far carried out operations called Operation Arapaima. There is even a NASA satellite named Arapaima.”

In addition to Rahman, the film will also have actress Abhinaya in a crucial role. Choreographer Kala’s nephew Aravind is also playing a character. Real-life naval officers and commandos belonging to Kerala police are also acting in the film. The director himself will be seen in a role, and reveals that he is in talks with a couple of top stars for two guest
appearances.
