A massive gain for BJP Party in By-Elections on Various Constituencies in the Country: See all Results

The BJP gained massive victories in the various by-polls in various states. The BJP won in three of five seats in the elections held in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat in the Lok Sabha constituency of Pake-Kasang and the 28-Lok Sabha constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikandra seat in Uttar Pradesh. Trinamool Congress candidate won from Sabang Assembly constituency in West Bengal. In the RK Nagar constituency of Tamil Nadu, TTV Dinakaran wons the Election with a massive lead.

At the same time, the Congress lost two seats. The Congress lost seats in West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh. The Pake Kasang of Arunachal Pradesh BJP candidate Athumvelli defeats Former Congress Deputy Chief Minister Kameng Dolo by 475 votes. The polling was recorded at 86 percent.

The by-election is held because the 2014 elections was canceled bby Guwahati high court. Former deputy head of the Congress, Kaming Dolo, won from here in 2014. The High Court had canceled its verdict on the petition filed by the BJP and its rivals.

In the 28th Likkabali, BJP’s Karto Nigyor Peoples Party of Arunachal Pradesh defeated Gumka Riba by over 1300 votes. The polling was upto 51 per cent. Congress candidate Modam Dini fell to third position. The by-election is due to the death of JD (U) legislator Jhomde Kena.

In Sikandra, BJP’s Ajit Pal Singh defeated Samajwadi Party’s Seema Sachin by over 7,000 votes. The polling took place on December 21, and polled votes was 53 per cent. This was due to the death of BJP’s sitting MLA Mathura Prasad on July 22.

This is the constituency in the district of Kanpur. In 1981, Phoolan Devi and his team killed the 21 Rajput members who raped her. Phoolan Devi surrendered before the police in 1983 and was an MP from Mirzapur.

In the Sabang Assembly constituency in West Bengal, Gita Rani Bhunia, the ruling Trinamool Congress candidate defeats veteran CPI (M) candidate Rita Mondal with a margin of 64,172 votes. Chiranjeevi Bhowmikar, the candidate from Congress pulled back to fourth position and the BJP’s Bhattacharya is placed third. Sabang was the seat of the Congress.

The bypoll was considered as the first trial of Mukul Roy, who joined the BJP from the Trinamool Congress. The constituency in Sabarmgarh was crucial for Trinamul and BJP.
