Colombia didn’t have a single touch in Senegal’s box in the first half, the first time they have failed to have a touch in the opposition’s box in any single half of a World Cup match.

It was in 74th minute that Columbian defender Yerry Mina attacked the resulting corner with real power and headed into the ground and back up into the net, despite the goalkeeper getting a hand to it. Four of Colombia’s last six goals of world cup too have come from set-piece scenarios.

Senegal hardly put a challenge from there and Colombia registered a comfortable win.
