In Uttar Pradesh, group arrested for beating, urinating on class 12 student

A bunch of young males attacked and urinated in the face of a class 12 student in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the police reported on Sunday. The attack was videotaped and uploaded to the internet.

In one of the recordings, the young kid is being beaten up in a desolate area by someone wearing a dark gray jacket, as two other accomplices watch on and take footage. The student begged the man to stop attacking him, but the attacker kept hitting him on his head and back.

A person wearing a white jacket may be seen peeing on the student’s face in another video.

Following the movies’ widespread distribution online, Uttar Pradesh Police filed complaints against seven individuals and made one arrest.

Avi Sharma, Ashish Malik, Rajan, and Mohit Thakur are the four that have been recognized; the identities of the other two are unknown. Ashish Malik was detained by police on November 13 for his involvement in the attack.

‘One young man was attacked and urinated upon, and based on his father’s complaint, we have registered a complaint and arrested one person. Further investigation is underway,’ Piyush Singh, a senior police officer, said.

According to the victim’s father, the student was abducted by the group while he was returning from a city relative’s home. After that, he was brought to a nearby desolate region where he was attacked.

The student’s family searched for him all night because he had not returned, and by the following morning, he had arrived home and told his family what had happened.

The family then went to the police to lodge a complaint. The father claimed, though, that nothing was done at first. On November 16, they returned, and that day the case was officially filed. Additionally, the family claimed that the case was filed under less severe IPC sections in order to avoid kidnapping accusations.

Although the victim’s friends are alleged to have included several of the attackers, the victim’s relatives claimed there was no known disagreement between them.

The accused face charges for rioting, intentionally insulting someone with the goal of inciting a disturbance of the peace, intentionally causing harm, and criminal intimidation.
