After taking the charge Senkumar to meet CM today

TP Senkumar The Director General of Police to meet Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today.

This will be the first meeting of him with the CM after being reinstated as the Chief of Police thanks to a favourable order from Supreme Court.

Senkumar will meet Pinarayi at the Chief Minister’s office at 4:30 pm. He is likely to discuss matters related to the Left Democratic Front government’s policy on policing.

Senkumar took charge at the police headquarters on Saturday, two weeks after the Supreme Court ruled his removal from post of police chief 11 months to be illegal.

The officer had not met the chief minister so far, even though outgoing police chief Lokanath Behera and chief secretary Nalini Netto had met Pinarayi at his residence on the day the government issued the order reinstating Senkumar.

Behera is given the charge as the director of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The chief minister had also met additional director general of police Tomin J Thachankery, who has been assigned responsibilities in the police headquarters.

Senkumar told his subordinate officers that they should take care to draft accurate answers to questions related to the police force. He went through the answers given to questions raised in the Legislative Assembly and found many of them to be vague or incomplete.
