Ajman ruler reunites Syrian man with his son

A video showing Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, reuniting a Syrian father Khalifa Rifai Al Khursan with his son Saif Al Din, has gone viral on social media.
As a part of 2017 being celebrating Year of Giving , Ajman ruler brought about this reunion.
The video posted by Ajman Police in their Instagram account, which says that the Ajman ruler upon hearing of the father’s plight, issued a visa to the son. The son was then summoned to the palace as soon he reached Ajman, where he met his father.
Khalifa Rifai Al Khursan said that his son went to complete his university education in Malaysia after a month of his marriage and promised to return during the holidays. However, the conditions in Syria worsened and he could not meet his wife. The father said, “After this, my son went to live in Turkey and even though I repeatedly tried to bring him to the UAE, I failed.”
His Highness asked him about the condition of the man’s daughter-in-law after her return and enquired about his son. “I told him the entire situation.”
Khalifa Rifai Al Khursan said that one day a representative of the Amiri Diwan in Ajman asked him for a copy of his son’s passport. “I could not imagine that my son would be brought to the UAE.”
“When I went to the bureau yesterday to receive the medical documents for the treatment of my daughter-in-law, I was in for a pleasant surprise. I did not know that my son had arrived in the Emirates, and when I saw him first, I thought the young man looks like my son. He approached me, and then I cried with joy.”
Khalifa Rifai Al-Khursan said that his son went with his wife, who had been deprived of seeing him for nearly 6 years, to a hotel in Abu Dhabi for honeymoon and to embark upon a happy married life after the bitter suffering ended, thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Ajman.
The father thanked Sheikh Humaid for his benevolence. He also thanked Khalaf Al Habtoor, who gave his son a car on the occasion of his safe return to his family.
