Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a strong pitch for e-governance and paperless offices in the country.
Speaking at inauguration of seminar on Supreme Court’s journey towards becoming Digital Court, PM Narendra Modi emphasised on change of mindset when it comes to use of technology for governance. Stressing on use of technology and science.
PM Modi said,”IT + IT = IT. This means Information Technology + Indian Talent = India Tomorrow.”
PM Narendra Modi thanked judges who have decided to hear sensitive matters during the summer vacation.
Calling for e-governance, PM Narendra Modi said paperless offices are easy, effective, economical and environment friendly. Technology has the power to transform our economic potential as well.
PM Narendra Modi aunched the Integrated Case Management Information System (ICMIS) to help the apex court go paperless. ICMIS helps with digital filing of the cases called e-filing and enables litigants to easily access the information online.
The Prime Minister uploaded the ICMIS on the Supreme Court’s website, in a function marked at Vigyan Bhawan in the presence of Chief Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
