Nearly 25 people have lost their lives and many more have been injured, after an explosion in Balochistan’s Mastung area near a Mosque today, shortly after the customary prayer session.
“Deputy Chairman Senate Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi’s convoy has also been affected by the bomb blast. Hyderi is having a minor injury. His convoy has just left the local mosque in the area,” a source said.
Police have confirmed that 25 people have died in the terrific bomb blast however many are injured. Rescue operations are currently underway; and Police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel have rushed to the spot, which has been cordoned off.
The injured people are being escorted to the Mastung Civil Hospital. Those who are in a critical condition are transported to Quetta.
“A situation of emergency has been declared at Civil Hospital and more doctors have been called in,” said the hospital sources.
